If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die (while this quote is universally misattributed to Warren Buffett online, its actual author is unknown). // Budget, save, and invest!
A foole and his money be soone at debate: which after with sorow repents him too late (Tusser, 1573; Five Hundred Points of Good Husbandry).
Never get involved in a land war in Asia; never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line (Vizzini, 1987; The Princess Bride). // ...think term life insurance and timing social security payments... inspiring not...?
Below are money tools (i) I personally use AND (ii) find beneficial and/or entertaining. The list is periodically updated and is organized in no particular order. Some of the links provided below are my personal referral URLs. We both get perks if you register and complete certain steps through them. The perks will be clearly stated on the signup page. Financial tools carry inherent risks. Please do your own research. I cannot be held responsible for any financial losses you incur from using these tools. Banking and Investments
SoFi provides access to most of what you'd need/want for personal finance, including banking, high-yield savings, credit cards, investments, crypto, personal and business loans, and life insurance, all in one place with quite impressive incentives. If you bank with them, their Smart Card offers unlimited 5% cash back rewards on groceries.
E*Trade from Morgan Stanley has been around for many decades. I enjoy their informative platform, as well as the ease when it comes to setting up custodial accounts, which SoFi does not (yet) offer.
Rewards
Aven gives 3% on your first $10,000 of everyday purchases each account year, provided that you sign up for autopay with them. After the first $10K, it keeps giving an unlimited 2%, which still beats most card rewards out there. It is probably better known as the HELOC card, but know that you don't need to pledge your home equity to enjoy the benefits. Simply get their non-HELOC version of the same card, which gives the same rewards benefits albeit at a higher APR. As with all credit cards, we should pay off our statement balances every single month, so the APR doesn't matter.
Capital One Savor gives 3% on dining, entertainment, and groceries. Why not get the most out of the fun things in life?
Gemini offers up to 4% in cryptocurrency rewards on purchases. No annual fees. At the time of this writing, they offer 4% on gas, EV, and transit, 3% on food and dining, and 2% on groceries. For the rewards, you can choose among BTC, ETH, SOL, etc. Of course, the value of the rewards fluctuates with the value of the crypto. While I am in no position to predict whether their system can beat the good old dollar cashback, it is a very fun card to play with.
Rakuten gives cashback for purchases at so many places. I have tried many cashback plugins, and they consistently come out at the top. Sometimes, a whopping 20% can happen!
I write expert commentaries for WalletHub as a part of my bigger goal to promote personal finance literacy. When the topic of their blog post is updated to reflect the latest market information, WalletHub replaces the old expert commentary with new commentary by possibly other contributors who share my passion. In such cases, I deactivate the corresponding links above because they no longer drive visitors to the correct pages.

My Health Novel: A comprehensive, employer-sponsored health portal at NSU. Through it, you can access HabitNu (coached physical health), Calm (meditation, sleep, and mindfulness resources for mental health), Digbi (gastrointestinal/GI health), and women's health program(s) that I am not qualified to review. I have to admit I initially signed up for the free Fitbit advertised in their promotional emails (the HabitNu Program provides it as a milestone trophy, in addition to a smart scale). As I progressed through the first week, however, I found myself enjoying the group very much. There are even online group meetings with our coach. :)
