Custom artwork is available in a variety of styles and sizes and can be based on a photo that includes the face (“Portrait”) or includes only the body or a portion of the body (“Figure”). Although typical requests are for drawings, special consideration may be made for artwork requests of nearly any other type. Depending on the size of the piece, the Artist also provides basic framing, which may or may not include matting; however, the Artist can always work with you to arrange for custom framing.
If you are interested in commissioning an original piece of art and would like to request a quote, please contact the Artist via email to receive the "Custom Artwork Request" form. This form allows you to choose your basic options and include any special requests or questions you might have. Upon completion, please email the form and source photo(s), if applicable, to the Artist to submit your request. Within five (5) business days, the Artist will reply to your request with any outstanding questions and, depending on the request, may provide a rough digital interpretation (“Proof”) of your request to ensure the final product will meet all of your requirements. This proof is only meant to communicate the Artist’s vision and ensure both parties concur on the scope of the project. It may contain simple line drawings, text, or handwritten notes and is in no way a perfect representation of the final product.
While in these initial stages, you may make request changes at will; however, once you and the Artist reach an agreement on the digital interpretation, both parties sign a “Custom Artwork Client/Artist Agreement” and the Artist’s fulfillment process begins. Because of the nature of the artwork, all decisions are considered final at this time*.
Within the standard six (6) or expedited four (4) weeks of the date of the signed agreement, the Artist will notify you that the product is complete and will request final payment, if applicable. Upon receiving final payment, the Artist delivers the product via the requested method and the agreement is therefore considered fulfilled.
* If you would like to submit changes to the artwork at any time between the date of the signed agreement and delivery of the final product, you may do so for an additional fee, which, depending on the nature of the change, may exceed the original cost and may push back the delivery date by up to an additional five (5) weeks.
