Makeup Appointment Process

So you want to enhance your naturally gorgeous self for a special occasion... but how does this process work exactly?

Whether you need a make-up artist for your wedding day, special occasion, or a private lesson, it is important to book your appointment as early as possible. Each appointment is truly unique to fit your own personal needs and they are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Although most services have standard pricing, special consideration may be made for requests at an hourly rate.

Step 1: Email Details

To begin the process, we ask that you visit thumbtack or please email kate.fisher.art and include the following details:

Having all of this information in the beginning makes the booking process much faster.

Step 2: Book Your Appointment

Within two (2) business days, you will receive a reply with any outstanding questions. Some common questions include:

As soon as we iron out all of these details, you will receive a "Make-up Client/Artist Agreement" to sign and return. This agreement includes an appointment summary and initial quote for services and expected travel expenses. It also provides further other information you may need, such as what to wear, bring, or expect from your appointment.

To book your appointment, we ask that you return your signed agreement and provide a non-refundable deposit of 25% either in person (cash or credit card accepted) or via PayPal.

Please note: Should you need to make any changes to, cancel, or reschedule your appointment, please do so at your earliest convenience.

Step 3: Consultation / Trial Run

Your consultation and/or trial run will occur 2-4 weeks prior to your special event.

Consultations usually take about thirty (30) minutes and are meant to discuss styles, colors, and other options. The standard trial run may take up to two (2) hours and consists of a full makeup application so you have a real "preview" of what you will look like for your special event. We will also snap a few photos to help you feel even more confident in your results.

At the end of your appointment, we will review your "Make-up Client/Artist Agreement" together, make any changes needed based on what we discover at this appointment, and sign the addendum. To book your final appointment, you will be asked to provide a non-refundable deposit of 50% at this time as well (cash or credit card accepted).

Please note: Should you need to make any changes to, cancel, or reschedule your appointment, please do so at your earliest convenience.

Step 4: Your Special Event

As a courtesy to ensure the full appointment time is dedicated to you and your fabulous self, we will arrive at your appointment location approximately fifteen (15) minutes early to set up.

You will receive a flawless makeup application that will last throughout your event. Just like the trial run, we will be sure to snap a few photos to help you feel even more confident in your results. We will also provide you with a mini touch-up kit packed with your lip color, lip brush, blotting tissues, and more.

At the end of your appointment, your remaining balance will be due (cash or credit card accepted). If there were any additional travel expenses incurred, such as valet or parking garage charges, they will be included in this final balance.

Step 5: Have Fun!!

We know you will look absolutely beautiful for your special event and hope you think so too!  Most importantly, we hope you enjoy yourself and have a ton of fun at your special event!  Cheers!!
