Robotics

In the fall of 2009, a high school student of Karalyn's asked her to help create and mentor a team for the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Knowing absolutely nothing about Robotics, but seeing an exciting opportunity, she agreed. Watch that team's incredible story here. Four years later, that team took 3rd at the Los Angeles Regional FRC.

Karalyn has also mentored robotics teams for the FIRST Lego League (FLL), FIRST Robotics and VEX Robotics Competitions. She has also judged at the VEX World Championships.

In 2016, the FRC team she mentored, FIRST Team 1452: Omnicats, were finalists at the Los Angeles Regional Competition.
