System Analysis and Design one of my Professional level course towards my field Business Computer Information Systems. I have learned and gained valuable hand on experience about Business Analysis, Business design and consulting in a manner of a system development life cycle. One of our main course work was we had to build up team as a fictitious consulting farm and to create or invent a solution for a real life company according to their need and requirements. Our team name was Eagle Tech Consulting and I got the opportunity to lead the team. We successfully proposed a manufacturing company to build their complete inventory and database system according to their need and requirements. We have completed our project and presented our inventory system prototype in a system analysis and design process. For example:
Collected Company's requirements
Analysis requirements/ documented
Design
implemented/ invented an inventory system prototype (Using oracle and visual studio )
We created a manual of our inventory system for the client to how to maintain and continue sustain the system.
Finally , we presented our complete project and a demo of our prototype. In addition, we managed to received an "A" on this System Analysis and Design course.
Some of my Business Analyst knowledge and team work I have learned describe below:
System Analysis and Design method the most important matter in this current Information Technology and Information System world to any industry or businesses. "Information resources as important as managing other key resources, for example, property, facilities, equipment, employees and capital in a business or an industry. Analyzing business requirements for information systems and designing information system, developing, implementing a system that fulfill business requirements with use of Information technology. "
Information System (IS): Information system is an arrangement of people, data, process, information, presentation, and Information Technology that interact to support the problem solving and decision making needs of management and users.
Information Technology (IT) : It is a combination of computer technology (Hardware and Software) with telecommunications technology ( data, image, and voice network)
To build and maintain information system and technology, most businesses believe, all roles involved with the systems are essential part of Information systems. These role are called stakeholders.
for example:
System Owner
System User
System Designer
System builders
System Analyst
IT Vendors and consultants ( Sell hardware, software and services to Businesses)
System Analyst is a crucial role to play in information system development. Because system analyst the one who interact with each of all other stakeholders in the system. "System Analyst facilitate the development of information system and computer applications by bridging the communications gap that exists between non technical system owners and users and technical system designers and builders." Therefore, System analyst are a principal role in systems projects. To become a successful system analyst, one writer said a timeless quote, " I submit that systems analysts are people who communicate with management / user level document their experience ; understand problems before proposing solutions, think before they speak, facilitate systems development, not originate it; are supportive of the organization in question and understand its goals and objectives; use good tools and approaches to help solve systems problems; and enjoy working with people." So, System Analysts are facilitators of information system development. System Analyst suppose to visualize the " Big Picture" as a whole and need to practice and exercise. Thus, System analyst must have excellent interpersonal communication skills. Effectively communicate is very crucial, at the same time they need to practice characters and ethics, flexibility and adaptability.
A model of system analyst as a facilitator (Used Microsoft Office Visio 2017)
System Analyst need to work on everything in a information systems development. Also, need to follow a system development life cycle, methodology and framework. As definition of a system life cycle, it divides the life of on Information System in to two stages:
1. System development and system operation and support- First, we need to build it, then we use, keep sustaining and supporting it.
2. Redevelopment- Eventually, we cycle back from operation and support to redevelopment.
At the same time, A system development methodology is important to follow for a successful system analyst. System development process that defines a set of activities, methods, best practices, deliverable, and automated tools for system developers and project managers to use to develop and maintain most or all information system and software. According to methodology, framework phases and activities, system analyst should follow through their project and process management, as our project team work, we followed these phases, listed bellow:
1. Identified a problem and preliminary investigation- Scope, constrains, project participants, budget, schedule, etc.
2. Problem Analysis - facts, causes, effects, system improvement objectives etc.
3. Requirements Analysis- requirement, priorities, business requirements statement etc.
4. Decision Analysis- ideas, architecture, presentation, approved system proposal etc.
5. Design- Ideas, opinion, standards, design specification etc.
6. Construction- Demonstration, feedback, test cases, functional system, prototype etc.
7. Implementation- documentation, training, operational system etc.
8. Operation and Support- feedback, problems, lessons learned etc.

I am thankful to our Professor Dr. Anna Sidorova, we learned from her such a valuable lesson in a realistic business manner. Also, I am
thankful to each of my team member to participate and coordinate and made such a nice and successful team. Below Me with my team and our Professor
Dr. Anna Sidorova on our final presentation day.
