Networking? What I understand about network simply two or more computers connected each other and share data and information. to connect and conduct with computers we need to follow few rules and protocols and some components and tools. some are Hardware and some software. More computers are connected more complex would be the network architecture . There are many way we can design our network path to communicate through our virtual world. Basic and simple network always Server ( the host computer) and Client ( end user of a communication) base. In addition, We need, many different tools and devices to build bridge and a pathway between this network connection. These are Modem,Hub, switches, routers, and gateways.
Therefore, Based on network complexity and connectivity, there are many different ways and types of Network categorized. These are most common geographic scope Network:
LAN (Local Area Network)
MAN ( Metropolitan area Network)
WAN ( Wide area Network)
Also, I think the most important thing of network communication to set a framework of standardized and Network models. International Organization for Standardization (ISO) help to communicate through network in a broader scope. One of the most Referred Model is Called OSI ( open system interconnection). This Model Has seven Layers, these are:
Physical Layer
Data Link Layer
Network Layer
Transport Layer
Session Layer
Presentation Layer and
Application Layer
Each Layer communicate between Sender => Receiver by using many different set of devices and Protocols through this Network communication journey.
Project
Worked on a project to create a active directory using Microsoft Virtual Machine. Migrating a Novell system to Windows Server 2003. Created a Primary Domain controller and add another Secondary Domain replicated the systems created in active directory. here is network logical design that describe a active directory and Domain Controller.
Describe how to join secondary domain server and client server with primary domain controller. below another architecture about the active directory prototype:
