Due to political unrest, the first world power of Bible history, Egypt, is not so easy to visit today. Fortunately it is well represented in the British Museum, with thousands of artefacts from this country. Many were taken from Napoleon and his scientists when they were defeated by the British, including the world famous Rosetta Stone, perhaps the most well-known object in the British Museum.
