March 19: Tomorrow we wil continue to enjoy student's presentation. Then I will discuss the optimal prediction principles in regression and classification problems.
March 30: On Tuesday, April 1, we will start to discuss the first group project. I will distribute a list of potential topics.
April 1: On Group Project 1
Choose one out of three topics in the list.
Make a group of three and start to work on the topic of your choice.
Submission deadline is April 17, Thursday, by 9am (in the morning).
We will use the class website in Hanyang LMS for submission.
The target presentation date is April 22, Tuesday.
Read directions in the list carefully and follow them closely.

Prepare your code and presentation file.
On June 12, I will give you an example data in class. Make sure that your code works in the example sample before you submit your project.
June 5: A make-up class - June 11, Wednesday, 1:00-2:20pm, at classroom 305.
June 10: For your final project, your code should focus solely on demonstrating your final model's performance.
You are not required to include how you obtained such a model. Specifically, your code should perform the following steps:
Read the provided test dataset.
Generate predicted outcomes (0/1) for each observation in the test set using your final model.
Compare your model's predictions against the actual outcomes in the test sample.
Calculate and display the overall error rate of your model on the test data.
In your presentation file, you can explain how you selected your final model and what you have learned from the process.
June 15: Final Presentation on Tuesday, June 17.
