SPPAS is a tool to automatically obtain phonetic transcriptions from recorded utterances and their corresponding ortographic transcription. It has been developed by Brigitte Bigi at the Laboratoire Parole et Langage, Aix-en-Provence (France). It allows the processing of utterances in differnt languages, including Spanish and Catalan.
The Spanish and Catalan acoustic models of SPPAS have been developed using the annotated material of the Glissando project, as a result of a collaboration between Juan María Garrido and Brigitte Bigi.
