Glisssando is an annotated speech corpus of Spanish and Catalan that can be used for descriptive, comparative or applied research studies of the prosody of these two languages irrespective of the theoretical framework employed.
It has been developed within the coordinated project 'Glissando, an annotated speech corpus for prosodic studies in Catalan and Spanish'. Researchers from three groups have participated in this project funded by the Spanish National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation:
Grup de Lingüística Computacional (GLiCom), Universitat Pompeu Fabra
Grup d'Estudis en Prosòdia (GREP), Centre de Lingüística Teòrica, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
Grupo de Entornos Computacionales Avanzados-Sistemas de Interacción Multimodal (ECA-SIMM), Universidad de Valladolid
More information about the corpus can be found at the Glissando web site and at Garrido et al. (2013), Garrido (2012) and Garrido et al. (2012).
The corpus is offered to the research community, under a Creative Commons license. ELRA (European Language Resources Association) is currently in charge of its distribution, as two separate packages, Glissando-sp and Glissando-ca. If you are interested in using the corpus, please contact Valérie Mapelli at ELRA (mapelli@elda.org).
