The project Desenvolupament d’eines d’avaluació automàtica de la parla per a l’entorn d’aprenentatge virtual Chiara, carried out during 2017 at the Phonetics Laboratory of the Barcelona University (UB) and lead by Ana María Fernández Planas, has been awarded with the Antoni Caparrós 2018 prize, given by the Consell Social of the UB and the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation and devoted to recognize the best knowledge transfer projects between UB research groups and external companies or institutions.
The goal of this project was to develop a set of computer tools for the automatic analysis and evaluation of prosody to be embedded in Chiara, a virtual learning platform developed by Teâm Training, a Spanish company devoted to offer staff training solutions. My contribution to the project involved the development of some of these computer tools, in collaboration with Wendy Elvira-García.
