Undo for Mathematica

Stephen Wolfram and the writers of Mathematica assume the best of themselves, of the program they have written, and of its users. While this optimistic view of humanity is heartwarming, for those few Mathematica users who occasionally fail to live up to this standard of perfection, it can also be a source of frustration. In most programs, you can undo the most recent 10, 20, or more things you've done. Not in Mathematica. Mathematica only lets you undo the most recent command (and often even that seems to not work). From the help file, "the only way to undo several actions at once is to go back to an earlier version of your file." While I am a huge proponent of saving frequently and backing up my work, reverting to a previous version of a file as the only method of undoing several actions is absurd. I recently discovered that there are others who share my frustration. If you too have ever found yourself similarly frustrated by your inability to live up to these exacting standards expected by Stephen Wolfram and the Wolfram Research team, consider signing this petition.
