Classroom Management Philosophy

My classroom management strategy is centered around respect, student’s need to respect themselves in order to show respect to others. I am the lead example when it comes to respect, if I show the students respect, they will be more motivated to respect others. Secondly, I want my classroom to be a fun and energetic environment. Managing this can be difficult but student will learn how to balance fun with productivity. Lastly, my classroom will be a place where students learn life skills that they will take with them and use throughout their future. Many times, students will ask “why are we learning this?” or “will we ever use this information?”. These are not the right questions, the most important thing is learning and growing as an individual. This comes from acquiring information and interacting with peers in a positive team building manner. Communication is also key, communication with students and their families allows for constant growth. Students will be given an opportunity to better themselves and those around them throughout each year in my classroom.
