Associate Professor of Psychology

I am an Associate Professor of Psychology at Olin College of Engineering in Needham, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston (for 2018, Olin was ranked #3 "Best Undergraduate Engineering Program" by U.S. News & World Report and for 2019 it was ranked #3 "Professors Get High Marks," #9 "Best Classroom Experience," and a lovely juxtaposition of #6 "Students Study the Most," and #11 "Happiest Students" by Princeton Review).  I also teach occasionally at our Partner Institutions, in the Psychology Department at Wellesley College and in the Theater Department at Babson College.  In addition, in the spring of 2018 I co-taught a course at Harvard Medical School, where I am a Visiting Associate Professor of Medicine.

My work-life is split between conducting research, teaching classes, seeing clients for psychotherapy, and contributing to the growth and success of Olin and to my field.  I also serve as Chief Academic Officer of Health Story Collaborative, a Cambridge-based non-profit organization.  You can find more information about each of these activities on the various pages of this website.

I am always excited to hear from people who are interested in my work, so please do not hesitate to e-mail me.  You can reach me at:
