Brief Biography

I work as a full-time tenured faculty member and Program Chair for the Health Information Technology (HIT) program at Tacoma Community College (TCC) in Tacoma, WA. I graduated from TCC's Health Information Technology program in 2004 and the University of Washington's Health Informatics and Health Information Management program in 2009. I graduated from Brandman University's MBA in Health Administration in 2015.

I belong to two worlds including healthcare reimbursement and teaching in higher education. I have worked in medical record operations, coding, auditing, and instruction. I bring strong technical skills and aptitude wherever I go and currently manage a website through a volunteer position with the Tacoma Area Health Information Management Association (TAHIMA).
