A free online "Long Lunch" symposium by Prof Johannes Cronjé and Dr Karen Walstra
Thursday 12 February 2026, 12:30 - 14:30
Join Prof Johannes Cronje and Dr Karen Walstra for two hours of exploration of Google's AI platforms and their use in education.
The format of the online symposium will be a brief introduction to a specific educational scenario and a demonstration of how AI could act as your assistant. Then follows 15 minutes' "play time" in which you can try it out yourself, and a plenary feedback session of 10 minutes where we discuss the advantages, disadvantages and implications of what we discovered.
The aim of the symposium is to show you how to be the human in the loop to get the various platforms to work together.
