CYCLONE FOOTBALL INFORMATION

The JMS coaching staff would like to welcome you all to Cyclone Football. We want to remind everyone that our second camp will take place August 1-5 from 8:30-10:30 am at Jeff Middle School. Please arrive at 8:00 am on the first day of camp so we can fit all athletes with a helmet and shoulder pads. Drop-off should be made on Hickman Avenue with entrance via the Media Center doors. Pick-up will take place on Hickman Avenue as well. Make sure to bring a water jug/bottle and football cleats.

Our football season officially begins August 15^th. Keep in mind, this is a week before classes begin on August 23^rd. We will practice Monday – Friday from 2:45-5:00 pm. Athletes must participate in a minimum of 14 practices before they are game eligible. Games will be played Thursday nights on the following dates: 9/8, 9/15,9/22,9/29,10/6 and 10/13. We will send out a game schedule when times and locations are finalized. Please note that JMS football is a combined 7^th and 8^th grade team, and we have one 8^th grade schedule.

All athletes must have a current physical on file to participate in any football activities. The school will provide athletes with a helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants, practice jersey, game pants, game jersey, game bag and a basic mouthpiece. Athletes will provide their own cleats, water jug, and any other specialized equipment (mouthpiece, gloves, arm pads, etc.…) We will have a parent meeting Wednesday August 31^st following practice to share further information about the season.
