2022 JMS Cross Country

Practice Information: The first JMS cross country practice will be on Monday, August 15th. The time and location of that practice has not been decided.
When school starts on Tuesday, August 16th, practices will be Monday through Friday from 2:45 to 4:15. We will usually meet on the east side of the school building at the picnic tables.
MSHSAA rules require each athlete to participate in 14 practices before they can compete in a race. We will have 17 practice opportunities before our first meet on Wednesday, September 7th. It is important for athletes to get a physical before August 15th so they can attend our first practice.
In middle school, our races are two miles long. It is important to include summer running in your plans. If you leave all your training for August, it will be difficult to get in great shape for competing in races.
Summer Run Information: There will not be summer runs as a team in July unless otherwise notified. You can request a July calendar of suggested workouts by emailing jcloweck@gmail.com.
Physicals: If you do not have a physical on file with the JMS office, you will need to get one before you can practice. You can find a link to "2-year physical forms" at the bottom of this page below the calendar.
