Construction and Woodworking 2

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Construction and Woodworking 1



This second level course is for students who are continuing their journey in construction and woodworking.  Students will continue to build on the fundamental skills they have learned in Introduction to Construction and Woodworking while exploring the many career fields that construction has to offer.  Students will expand their knowledge of construction safety including using ladders, harnesses and working from platforms.  They will also continue to refine their skills with hand and power tools as they set up their workspaces, tools  and projects.  Students will be introduced to the fields of electrical, plumbing and finish carpentry.  Students will also expand their woodworking skills through machine use and set up while learning how manufacturing processes work.  Students who successfully complete this course will be eligible for the NCCER Core Certification.
