Prerequisites: Successful completion of Automotive Technology 1



This second level course is for students who are continuing their journey in automotive technology.  Students will continue to build on the fundamental skills they have learned in Automotive Technology 1 while exploring the many career fields that the transportation field has to offer.  Students will expand their knowledge of basic engine construction and operation and will be introduced to engine components, operation, testing procedures and engine trouble diagnosis.  Students will also expand their automotive skills through activities in basic car care, basic cooling systems, and batteries/starting/charging systems.  Students who successfully complete this course will be eligible for the ASE Student Certification.
