Student of the Month: These are students who stand out based on leadership and character. The voting will be based on staff submission of form listed below and includes one selection for every grade level. The students who are given this honor will receive 25 chips.
Principal Honor Roll: These students have achieved a GPA of 95 and above. They’ll receive 25 chips.
Assistant Principal Honor Roll: These students have achieved a GPA of 85-94. They’ll receive 20 chips for their dedication.
Most Improved Attendance: This reward isn’t provided to students who already have a high attendance percentage; it’s for the students who’s attendance percentage has improved from the fall to the spring. If these show an 8 to 10 % increase within their attendance percentage, they’ll receive 15 chips
Tutoring: Students who attend tutoring five times in a row will receive five chips each time it’s documented. The documentation will be recorded on a tutoring tracker on the teacher portal. Students are not required to attend consecutive tutoring with a singular teacher, and it may be for any subject.
Club: If students attend a club meeting five consecutive times as well as participate in the club events, they may obtain five chips as a demonstration of their participation in the school community.
Teachers: Each teacher will receive 25 chips a month to distribute among the students in their class for improving on a task such as coming in on time, completing homework assignments, actively participating in classwork, etc. Other staff members, such as Ms. Vega and Ms. Bernabel will be included.
Regents: If students can obtain mastery in any of their regents 85% or above. They and their teacher will receive an amount of 25 chips.
Students who achieve a college readiness score in both math (70 or above) and English (75 and above) will receive 25 chips.
Newly inducted members of NHS will receive 25 points.
