Power Plant Simulator

Mitr Phol Bio-Power Co.,Ltd is a company doing a business related to power generation from biomass. Production process of the company is to generate steam power and steam management for sugar plant. Control systems have been used for the plant along with operators decisions. The operators have to be trained and well prepared for unpredictable scenarios and uncommon situations such as start-up mode, shut down mode or island mode.

This simulator has been developed in order to simulate steam generation and power generation from biomass boilers and a 30-MW steam turbine. The biomass boiler can supply steam either for the steam turbine or the sugar plant which depends on steam demand. Thermodynamic models, heat transfer models and fluid dynamic models have been applied to each devices of the power plant appropriately. Fluid properties on each device and junction is calculated at each time step. Operators can learn the scenarios from this simulator to be ready for uncommon situations which may happen during the operation.

บริษัทมิตรผล ไบโอพาวเวอร์ จำกัด คือบริษัทที่ดำเนินธุรกิจเกี่ยวกับการผลิตไฟฟ้าจากเชื้อเพลิงชีวมวล ด้วยกระบวนการผลิตและการจัดการไอน้ำร่วมกับโรงงานผลิตน้ำตาลจากอ้อย ในส่วนของโรงไฟฟ้ามีระบบกึ่งอัตโนมัติควบคุมการทำงานอัตราการผลิตไอน้ำร่วมกับการตัดสินใจจากพนักงานผู้ควบคุม โดยต้องผ่านการฝึกการควบคุมระบบเครื่องจักรอันซับซ้อนเพื่อรับมือกับเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่อาจคาดเดาได้ และเหตุการณ์ที่เฉพาะกิจ เช่น start up, shut down หรือ island mode (กรณีที่ไม่สามารถส่งไฟฟ้าออกไปภายนอกได้กระทันหัน)

โปรแกรมจำลองการทำงานของโรงไฟฟ้าถูกพัฒนาขึ้นเพื่อจำลองอัตราการผลิตไอน้ำและไฟฟ้าจากหม้อไอน้ำและกังหันไอน้ำโดยใช้ชีวมวลเป็นเชื้อเพลิง หม้อไอน้ำสามารถผลิตไอน้ำส่งไปยังกันหันไอน้ำหรือโรงงานผลิตน้ำตาลขึ้นอยู่กับความต้องการและการควบคุมจากพนักงานควบคุมการผลิตไอน้ำ โมเดลทางเทอร์โมไดนามิกส์ การถ่ายเทความร้อน การไหลของของเหลวถูกจำลองใส่ลงไปในโปรแกรมเพื่อให้แต่ละอุปกรณ์ของโรงไฟฟ้าคำนวณผลได้อย่างแม่นยำขึ้น การคำนวณทั้งหมดของระบบเป็นการคำนวณทีละช่วงเวลาเพื่อให้ผลคำตอบลู่เข้าสู่ค่าค่าหนึ่งเสมอ โปรแกรมจำลองนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อให้พนักงานสามารถฝึกเตรียมความพร้อมได้กับเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่ได้คาดเดาไว้ได้ตลอดเวลา
