Wooden Toys ( 2nd Week, 1st Morning Session)
1. Wooden Toys: I am assuming I will be using the same woodworking room as last year?
String - we could use very strong yarn
Sandpaper - 2 different grits (so they understand grit grades)
Glue - wood OR all purpose
Dowles - 3 sizes
1/4 inch for the wheel Axes for rear wheel of Bunny
3/16 inch for the wheel Axles for the Bunnies & Dragon
3/8 for the Arms & Legs of the Marionettes
Wheels - 1 1/2 inch diameter (same as last year - they worked well)
Pencils - to draw in features
Compass - to draw rear wheel and apply Math Skills
Ruler - to measure wheel diameter and apply Math Skills
Coping Saw BLADES - we went through these a LOT!! (Maybe 3 per student)

Wood - 1 Foot of 1x6 inch pine board per student per project
The wood can come in 4 or 6 ft sections - so students can rough cut!
Wood - 1/2 foot of 1x4 inch pine board 3/4 foot per student for Bunny Wheels

2. Tools & Supplies that we use from the WoodWorking room which worked well:
Eye Protection
Brooms and Dustpans for cleanup
Saws - for Rough Cutting Lumber
Drills & Drill-Bits for Drilling holes, Drill Battery Charging Station
Coping Saws
Clamps
Workbenches with bench vices (one for each student or team of 2 students)
Wood Scraps
