Ten Ribs Confirmed

“Ten-Ribs Confirmed” graphic demonstrates that the umbrella in Dealey Plaza had ten ribs, just like the one Louie Witt showed up with at the 1978 HSCA Hearings. Critics claimed the umbrella had only eight ribs, based on the four seen edgewise in the Willis photo.

In Crossfire, Jim Marrs claims:

"Furthermore, as seen in the Zapruder film,
once Kennedy is exactly opposite the man
with the umbrella, it
was pumped almost
two feet into the air and then lowered."

“No Umbrella Pumping” graphic shows that no pumping occurred.

Witt claimed to have been standing on what he called a "retaining wall" which critics have taken to mean he was standing on the so-called "retaining wall" near where Zapruder filmed (the white concrete wall is seen above the Umbrella Man in the Willis 05 slide). However, the back of the Elm St. sidewalk had a raised portion made of curbstone which was meant to hold back soil from the sidewalk. This would be the "retaining wall" Mr. Witt meant. But was he standing on it? “Stood on Retaining Wall” graphic shows Witt stood on that retaining wall.

The "Witt Profile Same" graphic compares known photos of Louie Witt to the Umbrella Man.
