Studies-Sketches

Thomassen seldom made sketches for his paintings, and if so they were drawn very quickly and thrown away. They had no value to

him and he did not considered them as pieces of art. They are like doodles that are sometimes made with a ballpoint pen on a piece of paper whilst talking with someone on the telephone. There are serious drawings known for AnnaPavlova, but the ones for his larger paintings

are very rare. However, some of Thomassen’s sketches for Last Judgement Day have survived.
