StreetVal Software Suite - Beta
The StreetVal software suite consists of the following three software products:
USRE Workbook
USCE Workbook
HCM Executable
Each of these products is available for download below.
USRE Workbook. The Urban Streets Reliability Engine (USRE) workbook supports the evaluation of a facility’s reliability of service, in terms of its operational performance over an extended time period. The software is distributed as a Microsoft Excel ® workbook using the Visual-Basic-for-Applications (VBA) programming language. Download (updated 11/22/2015)
USCE Workbook. The Urban Streets Computational Engine (USCE) workbook implements the motorized vehicle methodology in the Urban Streets Facility, Urban Streets Segments, and Signalized Intersections chapters of the Highway Capacity Manual Sixth Edition (HCM). This workbook is used to create the HCM dataset that includes the input data needed to evaluate an urban street facility using the HCM. Download (updated 2/21/2016)
HCM Executable. This file is a compiled version of the VBA code in the USCE workbook. It is called by the USRE workbook, and used to evaluate the dataset associated with each scenario. It is compiled to minimize the time required to evaluate a dataset. Download Note: The file will need to be unzipped to extract the file "engine-827.exe". (updated 11/22/2015)
USRE User Guide. This document provides guidance for the use of the USRE. It is a software tool that supports the evaluation of a facility’s reliability of service, in terms of its operational performance over an extended time period. Download (updated 4/16/2014)
Notes:
To download a file, right-click on "Download", click "Save Target As", browse to a folder on your computer, click "Save"
The USRE workbook was developed to work in Excel 2003, Excel 2007, and Excel 2010 (32-bit). Currently, it will not work in Excel 2010 (64-bit). If you have Excel 2010, you can click File, Help to determine whether you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version.
Updates on 9/1/2015 (Version 8.26) reflect a correction to the running time prediction in the USCE workbook (and HCM Executable). In some cases where lane volume exceeded 2,160 veh/h/ln, a "division by zero" error was encountered.
Updates on 11/22/2015 (Version 8.27) reflect a correction to the calculation of phase duration in the USCE workbook (and HCM Executable). Prior versions required a nonzero phase volume to use the Recall-to-max setting for the phase. If the phase volume was zero, then a Recall-to-max input would be ignored. This issue is corrected with Version 8.27.
The update on 2/21/2016 (Version 8.28) reflect the addition of variable initializations added to a few subroutines in the USCE workbook.
