The lecturer needs to plan lessons but can pretty much follow the textbook.
At the end of each term, lecturers need to design the test in consultation with the other lecturers teaching the same language.
Teaching Schedule for Semester 2
Term 3: Week starting 14 Oct 2013 – Week ending 6 Dec 2013
Term Break: 7 Dec 2013 - 5 Jan 2014
Term 4: Week starting 6 Jan 2013 – Week ending 21 Feb 2014
Duration
2 hours per lesson
Time
starts at 5.30pm or 6.00pm
Frequency
either once a week (for existing classes) or twice a week (for new classes)* per language class (lecturer may be offered more than 2 language classes per week)
Salary
$80 per hour + CPF
Nationality
Singaporean and Singapore Permanent Residents preferred.
*New classes will run only if there is sufficient number of students. This can be confirmed only at the beginning of October.
