Jacob Jose through the eyes of his family.
A few of Jacob's writings.
Everyone of us who know Jacob can consider ourselves privileged to have known a really remarkable person. From school friends to office mates, friends at college to family, Jacob has made an everlasting impression on all of us. His vitality, confidence, natural ability and charisma made him a born leader in any group that he was associated with. One of the most striking things about him was that he was associated with so many otherwise disparate groups: wingmates at BITS, his team members in Stage Control, colleagues in the Students’ Mess Council, mess managers, employees & suppliers, office mates in Madras and Dubai and even the occasional instructor at BITS - the list is endless, and he was an opinion leader in all of these groups. Jacob was the first person you would approach if you had a problem - and he’d find a way out.
Jacob lived his tragically short life to the fullest - adored by his friends & relatives, immensely successful in his short career and having had quite a lot of fun all the while. The cliched statement that “the quality & not the quantity matters” is most apt in Jacob’s case.
Most importantly, Jacob, despite being an extrovert and spending a lot of time outside the house, was devoted to his family - A phenomenal brother to his younger brother & sister, and a son whom most parents can only dream of.
Despite his physical absence Jacob lives large in our minds. This website is in celebration of his life - and an opportunity for all of us who knew him in various capacities to exchange our views - or as Jacob himself would have put it.. to “trip” about our times with him.
