Wybejong Park, opposite the Riddells Creek railway viaduct, is a creek-side park dedicated to indigenous plants. The park is habitat for kangaroos, echidna, numerous bird species and an astonishing variety of insects. It has a riparian zone from which willows were removed in 2003 and a cliff top zone. Major weed infestations such as blackberry, hawthorn, gorse, plum tree and angled onion have been controlled. As the remnant and planted vegetation takes over the amount of time spent on weed control diminishes. Greening of Riddell aims to develop the walking track further to link up ultimately with other trails in the Macedon Ranges. Much public consultation and education has been required to manage an area that has been an exotic tree park.
Working bees, including socialising over morning tea, are held on the first Saturday of each month, starting at 9.30am, to remove weeds, plant indigenous species and maintain a beautiful area of Riddells Creek.

What is our role in rail reserve and grassland conservation, plus connecting and linking public and private land?
What could this mean to Conglomerate Gully, Mt Charlie and Barrm Birrm?
