Friends of Holden Flora Reserve
Friends of Holden Flora Reserve was formed in 2009 and is already transforming the landscape near the Jacksons Hill Estate. We have planted more than 10,000 indigenous plants on the escarpment overlooking Jacksons Creek and along the banks of the creek to replace the weeds we and Melbourne Water have removed. We plan 8 working bees this year, some for planting, others to maintain our plantings. We particularly encourage volunteers from among the local residents.
It is their magnificent response that has enabled us to achieve so much in a relatively short time. Come along and contribute to this environmental recovery, meet your neighbours and enjoy a barbeque afterwards. We meet at the end of Hammersmith Court.
