CG Lab Activities

Instructions:

• 1. Make sure you have a copy of the Blender Basics handout.

  2. Download and open ToyBox.blend.

  3. Practice Duplicating, Grabbing, Rotating and Scaling the objects to make your own scene.

Ideas:

• • Make a neighborhood with a few houses, a forest

  • Make a family of people, dinosaurs, aliens

  • Recreate a scene from a movie

  • Change the colour of the people, car, house, dinosaur...

For extra challenge:

• • model some furniture for the house, a street, street lights, park benches

  • Use the Hair/Fur handout to make more realistic grass, give the dino a Mohawk...

  • Use the animation handout to make a rough fly-through animation of your scene, move some props around...
