Many, many thanks to:
Joan Chandler for the multitude of photos found on this website. Joan, who was the team photographer for the Falcons, took thousands of photos throughout the years. She has donated over 25,000 photos to the Women’s Sports Foundation. For more about Joan, click here.
Jackie Ledbetter, my very good friend and fellow catcher who played for the Santa Ana Lionettes in 1977 and the Falcons in 1978 and 1979. Jackie was a darn good catcher with a rocket arm and smooth swing. And she was left-handed to boot. Jackie has a collection of news articles, photos and memorabilia from her playing days in the IWPSA that are now part of this website.
Blaise Lamphier for allowing the use of his Dad's Falcon Profiles that appeared in the Journal in 1976 and the Falcon's 1976 Christmas card. Photo to left is Blaise with Donna Terry. Blaise met Donna on several occasions and even visited the Freedom Train with her when it came through Meriden. Blaise is currently working on a book about his Dad (Frank Lamphier aka "Lamp") that will feature a section about the Falcons. His Dad loved the Falcons, and Blaise and his Dad attended many of their games over the years. His collection of Falcon memorabilia includes a first-year program signed by the entire club, plus the coach and general manager and all of the Falcon Profile originals with almost all autographed.
