eat,drinkandbemerry....! 2013

Eat,drink and be merry....! I have no idea what we will be eating, drinking this year or even if we will be merry! Half of me wants to do nothing and find a restaurant with a 'Festive Menu' (albeit it extortionate in price) and the other half says you can do it better for half the price and twice the quantity.....!

Doesn't lead to being merry, but all the stuff the lady on the phone says she is sending me because 'I was the nicest guy she'd spoken to this morning' (she says that to all the guys, I think) may make us feel a little bit merrier......Anyway, with the local oysters, mussels and all the rest, I guess we won't go hungry!

Even bread and cheese isn't the same here in France as elsewhere in the world, maybe some oysters then coquilles St Jaques, stay fishy or not....with mussels, or go all meaty with quails or with the famous 'Pintade' (Guinea Fowl) - a kind of Turkey, thanksgiving (American festival, but a tastier and smaller bird) type, to which all recipes pass. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guineafowl

Some suggestions - not only for the Festive season...!

After intensive interrogation, it seems that 'her indoors' will condescend to 'taste' a Pintade.......nice of her - ain't it? Actually, I think she will eat all the bacon and stuffing and that's it.........
