The Wellstone Lending Library has an excellent collection of donated books related to our DFL mission. Donations are appreciated. We inherited in July 2022, multiple books from Jackie Dowell.
Fundraising Items: we also need items when fundraisers are conducted. For example, Karen L. is organizing a fall fundraiser to correspond with other sales on "38"
Thank you for contributing your time
We have several committees and they all need volunteers. All events need Greeters. The DFL Headquarters needs volunteers to do hand-work and cleaning.

Chair a fundraising committee or be a committee member; develop a donor list.
Staffing the Office
Itasca County DFL Office & Resource Center is open on a regular basis; a calendar staffing signup is on the main desk. Generally, the office is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 -5 pm but hours are extended when campaigns season is in full swing. The most important task of staffing is to welcome people that stop in.
Here are some additional tasks:
Flip open/close sign on door.
Check phone messages and relay appropriately if necessary.
Check mail and place in appropriate mail slots; make contacts if necessary.
Check if there is a To-Do list on the main desk; doing a task is optional; leave notes on progress.
Straighten and clean where ever (meeting room, office, bathroom, closets); vacuum cleaner and supplies are in back closet. Keep coffee pot clean.
Use recycle containers whenever possible; remove garbage to backyard dumpster.
Make note of depleted supplies (coffee, pop, T-paper, etc.).
Thank you for contributing money
There are several ways to make a financial contribution to our unit. You may stop in while the office is open. You may mail a check to 809 NE 4th St. Grand Rapids MN 55744 . And/or you may utilize ActBlue and make an online donation with a credit card.
