A CAS project is a collaborative, well-considered series of sequential CAS experiences, engaging you in one or more of the CAS strands of creativity, activity and service.
You must be involved in at least one CAS project during your CAS programme, but many students will participate in more Projects based on their interests.
A CAS project is expected to last at least one month.
It should be done with other CAS students, but may also involve students from other years groups or members of the wider community.
Your group determine what you will do and which strands – Creativity, Activity and/or Service – they will select or combine.
Note: Participation in sustained collaboration is the primary purpose of the CAS project.
Your CAS Project should challenge you to show initiative, demonstrate perseverance and develop skills such as those of cooperation, problem-solving and decision-making.
All CAS projects should use the CAS stages as a framework.
All CAS projects are designed with a defined purpose and specific goals. Individual students identify one or more learning outcomes and not everyone in the group has to have the same goals, just as not everyone has the same personal starting point in terms of awareness and skills.
The CAS project should be undertaken locally (though this could be 'local' to where the students are during a holiday, or in their home country for example)
Students reflect on their CAS project experience collaboratively, if possible, as well as individually in Managebac.
