Overview: A variant of the reliable Griffin only seen in some Draconis regiments, the GRF-1K replaces the venerable particle cannon with a large laser in favor of upgrading the missile rack.
To help offset this, a ton of ammunition was removed to allow for a medium laser in the left arm.
While this version is certainly more versatile, some pilots dislike the heat management problem posed when engaging targets within the 180-270 meter range bracket.
In the field, more than one DCMS MechWarrior has lamented the lack of LRM ammunition.
Aside from its drawbacks, the Griffin-1K can be an asset in the hands of a skilled MechWarrior.

The idea of a LL/LRM15 version of the old Griffin is so obvious I'm surprised it wasn't in the old 3025 book. My version here uses the medium laser for flavor more than practicality, but you've basically got a ton to work with.
