How to draw syntactic trees:

I personally just use the drawing tools in powerpoint or similar presentation app, but there are more convenient applications

For Linux: http://sourceforge.net/projects/treeform/ (it has also versions for PC and MAC platforms)

For all operative systems: http://www.ling.upenn.edu/~kroch/Trees.html (you draw the tree in the application and then cut and paste it into word)

Also for all operative systems, padlet offers the possibility of connecting bubbles with arrows in an online platform, creating a tree of sorts that way. You can get a free account with 3 padlets here: https://padlet.com/
