Two laboratories are collaborating in the project.
The IMM institute includes 7 sections located in Bologna, Roma, Napoli, Lecce, Agrate Brianza and Catania (2). The structure in Bologna (IMM-Bo), with his 60 researchers (permanent and non permanent), is a multidisciplinary research structure having more than 30 years experience in investigation and development of materials and devices for microelectronic applications. The contemporary presence of physicists, chemists and electronic engineers allows a global approach to the problems of materials and devices, thus overriding the schemes of traditional disciplinary areas.

SENSOR located in Brescia is a laboratory of the Institute for the Acoustics and Sensors Orso Mario Corbino (IDASC) of the National Research Council (CNR, http://www.cnr.it). Director: Prof. Giorgio Sberveglieri. The main goal of SENSOR Lab is the design and development of advanced nanomaterials and processes for functional applications like chemoresistive and optical gas sensors, third generation solar cells, field emitters, thermoelectric devices. Core materials produced at SENSOR Lab are wide bandgap oxide semiconductors in form of thin films, 1-dimensional nano- and hetero-structures. A new research line is fast developing on semiconducting nanocrystals as innovative sensitizers in excitonic solar cells.
