Takuya Ono

Since 1996, Takuya Ono is the administrator of the Japanese board game information site "Table Games in the World" (www.tgiw.info), every day delivering domestic and foreign news, reviews, essays, rule translations etc. He is the founder and jury member of Japan Boardgame Prize (2002-2011) and Game Market Award (2015-2019). Ono has published several books in Japanese on board games: "German game de show! "(2007), "Board Game World" (2013), and "Board Game Changes the Society" (2023) and translated "Leitfaden Für Spieleerfinder" and "Building Blocks of Tabletop Game Design" into Japanese.
Ono lives with his family in a rural Zen temple (300km north from Tokyo) as chief pastor, gathering friends to the temple for playing board games.
