Chris Wray

Chris Wray is a frequent reviewer of board and card games, writing dozens of reviews each year.  He writes for the Opinionated Gamers, and he previously wrote for Counter Magazine and Gamers Alliance. He has also contributed to various other sites. Chris previously wrote a history of the International Gamers Awards in Counter Magazine. 

Board and card games were a big deal in his family, and he grew up on the classics.  His first experience with Eurogames was with Settlers of Catan back in 2004, and since then he’s gone down the rabbit hole.  His favorite board games are Agricola, Barrage, Concordia, El Grande, Glen More II, Power Grid, and Ticket to Ride.  His favorite card games are Hanabi, Sticheln, and Seers Catalog.  He loves (and collects) both trick taking games and social deduction games (especially Werewolf).

Chris has designed several trick-taking games, including Xylotar (Bezier Games) and Kansas City: The Trick-Taking Game (publishing forthcoming). 

You can find Chris at various conventions, including the Gathering of Friends, Geekway to the West, Gen Con, or Spiel (Essen), and he often blogs while at the conventions.

Chris lives in Harrisonville, Missouri, and he practices and teaches law.
