SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

 $1,000.00 Per Recipient 2026

 Hugh Cranford ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT All-Scholastic For Boys and Girls Ages 16-18 as of July 29, 2026 Four junior golfers will be awarded for their academic achievements. Golfers selected receive an exemption into the 2026 Optimist Championship, tournament entry which includes golf, hotel accommodations and meals plus a $1,000.00 scholarship. 

The $1,000.00 scholarship award will be sent directly to the financial aid department of the recipient’s chosen University, College or Technical School. 

APPLICATION STEPS: 

1. Complete the application(s) as indicated. A

2. Include a writing sample (250 to 500 words) on the topic indicated on application. No AI allowed for writing Essay. 

3. Attach supporting documentation. The following items are the only items that will be accepted: current school transcript, most-recent grade report, and test results. 

4. Two letters of recommendation from adults other than family members.
