The idea of bringing together cyclists and those who genuinely felt the need for promoting cycling came up during our first cycling event - Cycling With A Mission. A bicycle rally from Kaseragod to Trivandrum to raise funds for a children's home known as Chilla, ‘Cycling With A Mission’ was a dream project for most of us, through which we aimed at:
- Campaigning for a social cause
- Raising funds for alternative groups whose effective working is hindered due to just lack of economic support
- Asserting the right to live for each and every individual in the society with dignity and equality
- Feeling and being together for creating a better world with social equity by the tiny efforts of a large number of common people.

Through our experience from the first event, we ourselves realized that there are a lot of like-minded people around us who are looking for encouragement and moral support for their humble efforts to promote cycling. In the present socio-economic evolution of our country, even lay-people prefer motor vehicles and similar costlier and fossil fuel dependent modes of transportation over bicycles.
Motor vehicles are indeed necessary as a modern day symbol of economic prosperity but we don’t have to use them for all our transport, especially for short-distances; bicycles are surely a better alternative. In addition to the advantage of providing physical fitness, cycling will help us relax, save fuel, energy and reduce pollution. Many advanced societies like those of Germany, Japan, Netherlands etc., are already encouraging biking over the alternative.
In short, we are here to create a culture of cycling. Each cyclists should feel he/she is doing something good for themselves, the environment and thus for the coming generations. We welcome you to read the objectives in detail.

In this age of cars, the humble cycle has ceased to be a popular mode of transport. Today, the cycle is mostly the toy of the young adult, who is only too eager to graduate to the motorbike. But even in these times of breakneck speed, the cycle can perform a social role, perhaps as a vehicle that can fetch a little support for a noble cause. Be it for a charity ride or supporting a struggle or propagating a message.
ICE's Mission is to popularize cycle among the common mass.
