There is a block of rooms set aside for us, at $124/night for dual-queen, $115 for single king. For those sharing a dual-queen room, the hotel will split the bill if asked. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights are in the group rate, initially at 8 (4/4) rooms/night. If you book a room at The Hampton Dupont , ask to be in the "DIY Speaker-Builders" block (It may be under "DYI"). Calling the hotel is perfectly fine. If you wish to have a Thursday or Saturday night stay as well as Friday, and the rooms are not available, please contact me. Do this prior 3/26/2024, or your rate will be 10% higher at the Hampton, so click below:

The hotel is only 10 years old, so it should have all of the modern conveniences. There is no rear entrance, and the property drops in level to a road immediately to the rear. All loading and unloading will need to go through the lobby, and there is an awning over the area in the case of rain. No stairs, all is flat, from door to venue.

Note: If some of you are taking I-69 into town, be advised that INDOT has renamed the exits around here by adding 200 to the old number. Due to the extension of I-69 from Indianapolis to Evansville (which is almost completed I hear), the numbers had to be changed. Apparently the old number is still posted on some of the exit signs below the new one.  So, the old exit number for I-69 to Dupont Road is 116A, and it is now 316A.

There is two way traffic with a median in front of the Hotel, but exiting east of the Lassus Handy Dandy will allow you to cross to the west-bound lane.

Eateries, just to inform you all:

In front of the Hampton is a Culver's, and just to the east are a BK, Arby's, and Taco Bell. Most of us usually hit Culver's for lunch on Friday.

Across the highway to the west, on the south side is a nice surf/turf spot called 'The Trolley Bar'. We have enjoyed going there Friday evening in past years, and will likely again.

Others include a tex-mex 'Pine Valley Bar and Grill', Domino's Pizza, Jimmy John's, Mancino's Pizza and Grinders,

West to Auburn Rd has a Starbucks and Panera Bread.

Further west to Woodland plaza/Pine Valley has McD's, Casa Grande (Mex), Pizza Hut, Hideout125, Penn Station (to the North), Cebolla's (Mex), Zianos (Italian), KFC, and Wendy's; and still Casa Grille, Wings, Etc, and Pita Village.

We can bring food/drink into the venue if preferred for Saturday lunch, like ordering pizza. Domino's is close across the highway.
