This process starts the same way as the consultation, but additionally, 10 screening tests will be administered to determine if your child has any of the hallmark indicators for dyslexia as outlined in the research-based definition of dyslexia.
The tests will be scored, results analyzed, and shared in a concise 12-15 page written report.
After the report/data is compiled, an in-person parent/guardian meeting will be scheduled to review the results, which will include the conclusion regarding dyslexia and any recommendations for tutoring and classroom accommodations.
A copy of the report will be provided to you for your records (if full screening).
Please keep in mind, most public schools will disregard this type of report as it is not diagnostic for special education services.
$300 Screening--No Report includes all of the above except no written report will be provided ($150 due on first day of testing; $150 due at in-person data review meeting).
$500 Full Screening and report ($250 due on first day of testing; $250 due at in-person data review meeting).
