• Copyediting:

  • Editing and checking for spelling, punctuation, capitalization, paragraph transitions, syntax, appropriate terminology for the target audience

  • Make changes according the the Chicago Manual of Style (CMoS) or your in-house guidelines and/or standards

  • Checking overall document for logical flow and consistency; offer suggestions for layout changes, formatting, use of colors and style appropriate for the target audience of the document

  • Make suggestions for simpler syntax (eliminate or reduce wordiness), and offer assistance to Japanese authors in developing documents for a non-Japanese audience
