IFH unites the mission and vision of these partners by managing the aggregation, distribution, and marketing of source-identified food products from local and regional producers to strengthen their ability to satisfy wholesale, retail, and institutional demand
Opened in 2011, Iowa Valley Food Coop (IVFC) is direct-to-consumer cooperative of producer and consumer members in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area. IVFC is a web-based cooperative where consumers can order products directly from area farmers and other local businesses. IVFC acts as a facilitator, providing a marketplace for all types of local producers, processing orders and payments, and facilitating delivery to consumer members. The purpose of the Iowa Valley Food Co-op is to increase resiliency of local food system in Eastern Iowa
Iowa Food Cooperative, located in Des Moines, IA, is a web-based marketplace for Iowa-grown food and products. IFC acts as an on-line farmers' market that utilizes web-based ordering to connect Iowa consumers with Iowa farmers and producers. They host over 1,000 local products and offer delivery to six metro locations, including Ames, Ankeny, West Des Moines, Des Moines, Sherman Hill, and Osceola. 85% of what the customer pays goes to the participating farmers
FarmTable Procurement and Delivery
FarmTable Procurement and Delivery is an aggregator and online marketplace of locally grown and produced food. It is located in Harlan, IA. They serve customers in Omaha, Central Iowa, and Cedar Rapids / Iowa City area. FarmTable Procurement and Delivery provides majority of the transportation between all the participating producers and food hubs in the current collaborative network
Country View Dairy, located in Hawkeye, IA, makes all natural farmstead yogurt in both Original and Greek style, using the wholesome milk from their family’s own dairy herd. Country View Dairy has received many accolades for their milk quality and herd production
Lucky George Farm is a small conservancy farm located just outside of Derby, in South Central Iowa. They raise a critically endangered breed of pig called the Large Black. They are beautiful, loving, great mothers, docile, and wonderful to raise because they are the kind of family pig that people used to have on their own small homesteads centuries ago
WW Homestead Dairy is nestled in the town of Waukon, IA. They have a full dairy product line, made up with all natural ingredients that are locally produced and processed. Their milk comes straight from the two local farms outside of Waukon and Lansing, thus providing higher quality fresh products to their customers
Early Morning Harvest, located in Panora, IA, is a small-family farm raising vegetables in an aquaponics greenhouse, as well as pastured poultry for egg production. They also produce flours made from certified organic cereal grains raised on their farm
