The purpose of this tab is that the user could find the requiered data related to anticoagulation to keep the filter in good condition and facilitate anticoagulant's prescription dose.
The introduction of patient's weight, the volume of dilution in which to dilute epoprostenol or sodium heparin (dilution fluid) and the dose of sodium heparin or epoprostenol, allows you to obtain the flow of the pump infusion of epoprostenol or sodium heparin.
In the case that the user decide sodium heparin to anticoagulate the filter, generally is recommended an initial dose of 5-10 IU/kg/h (if no contraindication to anticoagulation is present), both values are shown. If the user prefers to introduce a total dose of sodium heparin per day, then the value of flow of the pump is also calculated.
In the case that the user decide epoprostenol to anticoagulate the filter, and in view that the dose requiered have to be increased or changed by time, insert the desired dose in ug/kg/min, to obtain the rate of the infusion.
The recycler bin located in the upper right corner resets all values.
The Back button goes the previous screen, in this case the main menu.
The letter "i" provides help to fill each field.
The coagulation button returns us to the data entry screen.
Citrate button shows regional descoagulation with algorithms of use with Baxter and Fresenius.
The user has entered the patient's weight and dilution fluid (epoprostenol or sodium heparin). This gets in the boxes in GREEN, sodium heparin dose to 5 and 10 U/kg/h (in mg/d and U/h). Also obtains the speed of the pump depending on which continuous infusion dose is chosen (BIC).
The user has entered the total dose of sodium heparin and the flow of the infision pump is calculated, based in the composition of the dilution.
