Awards for best papers by students
D. P. Pattanayak Award: For the best paper by a student in Applied Linguistics.
Bh. Krishnamurti Award: For the best paper by a student on any discipline other than Applied Linguistics.
Guidelines:
There are two tracks (as mentioned above) for the awards, and only bonafide students can participate in either of them.
The entries can have only students as authors. Papers having teaching faculty/research supervisor as co-author are NOT eligible for participation in these awards.
The awards would be announced during the conference only if papers of merit are received, as the organisers reserve the right to call off the award if no entry is found to be suitable.
If the selected entry has multiple authors, the award would be shared by all.
The paper to be presented and the paper submitted for the awards should be identical. A committee of experts will examine the submissions received and declare the awards during the conference.
The selection is not automatic. Therefore, interested and eligible students should submit their papers again in a separate email with the award track name as its subject.
Interested? Please submit the full paper to icolsi40@gmail.com latest by 05 November 2018 (Please copy your email to Secretary LSI <secretaryil@gmail.com>) and mention the award track in the subject line.
The awards as announced on 06-12-2018 during the annual general body meeting of LSI.
