Today we will:
1. Continue the discussion about the endocrine system and named hormones. See the previous day of the agenda.
2. Discuss the levels of hormones in the monthly human menstrual cycle. Learn about in vitro fertilization (IVF). See this link for more detailed definitions / explanations of the hormones involved.

a video about control of blood sugar (insulin and glucagon)

a video about obesity and living with type II diabetes

1. Create a google doc explaining / defining / providing details of hormones as listed in the table above. Complete and send to dabshire@isoi.edu.pk before the next class period. You may only work individually on this assignment.

Today we will: (catch-up day)
1. Hand-out take home quiz on 6.5 Nerve transmission
2. Complete CAS project google form in class linked here .
3. Check with you about your RQ and your data from nationmaster.com
4. Drop your lowest quiz to date (must be done by Friday 1 pm
5. Learn about nerve synapses (individually or in pairs review the following slides)
6. Review the video on action potential and watch this one on transmission across a nerve synapse .
7. (1) Summarize in written paragraphs and/or annotated drawings the steps in transmission across a nerve synapse. See the slides above. as well as (2) a summary of the review of saltatory conduction (see this powerpoint) ) . Put your responses in a shared google doc with a link emailed to dabshire@isoi.edu.pk due BEFORE the next class session. You can do this individually or in pairs. If done with another student, make sure that you put both names in the subject of the email message.
