HL biology strategy for second semester:
Each subunit of the remaining advanced topics will be covered and quizzed
on in three days. The first day will be devoted to collaborative note taking and
sharing with each other. The second day will be focused on reviewing IB
released questions. The third day will have a short constructed response type
quiz in addition to the SL revision quiz given on that day.
All HL students are expected to take the SL revision quizzes as per the
schedule given below. This should not be a burden since HL students have see
the core or SL material at least three times before. Please note, SL students will have
time in class to review before the revision quizzes but HL students will not because
HL students will continue on the three day cycle for each subunit of the remaining topics.

SL and HL revision quizzes. SL will review in class, HL will continue
on advanced topics and SL / HL will take the quiz the final 20 minutes.
No MCQs! You will be able to drop 1 out of each 5 quizzes by the end of
the grading period. However, if you miss a quiz (ex: absent or school
activity such as SAISA or MUN) they quiz will be automatically dropped
as one out of each 5 unless proctors are arranged to administer the quiz
during your school activity. HL students cannot drop an HL quiz unless absent or
proctored on an out-of-school activity. HL students can drop SL quizzes.
